The Power
of the Weak

By Filmmaker Tobias Kriele
In this powerful and moving film, Jorgito, a young man with cerebral palsy, tells his story of growing up in Cuba where he received the essential services and support he needed to become independent and an outspoken advocate for the Cuban revolution and persons with disabilities.

In  April Jorgito Jerez, the protagonist of Power of the Weak, along with the film maker Tobias Kriele participated in the Second Days of Action Against the Blockade of Cuba in Washington DC showing the movie at universities as part of their East Coast tour. The film is a powerful reminder of how Cuba provides opportunity and social support to everyone no matter what their personal challenges may be.
