MESSAGE TO THE CUBA SOLIDARITY MOVEMENT

Jun 19, 2014 by

Dear Friends,

Compañero Fernando González Llort, one of the five heroes who served 15 years in U.S. prisons and then returned to Cuba after completing his sentence for a wrongful conviction, has been appointed Vice President of ICAP.

in 1987 Fernando graduated with a Gold Diploma with a degree in International Political Relations at the Higher Institute of International Relations (ISRI), Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Between 1987 and 1989 he participated as an internationalist combatant in the war for the liberation of Angola and against South Africa apartheid. He is known for his modesty, unpretentiousness and calmness, as well as for his depth and mastery of international affairs, his steadfastness and discipline and his profound loyalty.

This decision strengthens us all. We have to keep challenging our creativity after nearly 16 years in prison have passed and, we know very well that our main goal is to achieve the release of Tony, Ramón and Gerardo from U.S. prisons.

In solidarity,
Kenia Serrano Puig
