Just 90 miles from our shore, the island of Cuba and its 11 million people have been forbidden to us for the past 55 years. As U.S.-Cuban relations are changing, join us in learning first-hand about Cuba’s special cultural, social and environmental institutions, how they operate and the impact they have on this uniquely literate and healthy population.

Participants in this Witness for Peace delegation will:

  • Meet with Cubans from all walks of life to learn about their rich cultural heritage and discuss the impact and expected changes resulting from our countries new relationship.
  • Guided tours of Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, its neighborhoods and historic sites.
  • Visit urban and rural arts and cultural programs, museums, studios and connect with artists from cultural and professional institutions
  • Enjoy art, poetry, literature and music that sustains the Cuban soul &

attend performance events

Learn about Cuba’s accomplishments in environmental sustainability

  • Visit rural and urban cooperative organic farms dedicated to improving the Cuban diet and food supply
  • Get to know the community at the Martin Luther King Center, a vibrant hub for popular education and faith
  • And much more!

Cost: $1800, plus air fair and $75 visa fee

Total due: January 5th, 2016

Deposit: $150, due November 5th, 2015
