2020 May Day Brigade

15th International Voluntary Work
and Solidarity with Cuba Brigade Postponed

Our counterparts at ICAP just notified us of the following:

The widespread of the pandemic COVID-19, caused by a new coronavirus, has brought a number of organizational actions in several countries to address this global health emergency.

The measures adopted by each country are perceived in the complexities for flight connections, regulations in transit countries, the application of quarantines, among others.

In this complex context, that we must face with caution, prevention, control and responsibility, it has been decided to POSTPONE the XV International Brigade of Voluntary Work and Solidarity with Cuba May 1st and likewise the Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba.

Both projects will take place in the second half of November and the brigade will assume the new name of “International Brigade 60th Anniversary of ICAP”.

In Cuba, a National Plan for Prevention and Control of this disease is being implemented, and intensive surveillance of respiratory syndromes is being maintained.

Today, more than ever, we are aware that:

“These are times of solidarity, of understanding health as a human right, of strengthening international cooperation to face our common challenges, values that are inherent to the humanist practice of the Revolution and of our people”

A fraternal hug.
